Senior Technical Marketing Engineer
Enterprise Collaboration Platform(ECP) is Cisco’s new, flagship product in the Enterprise Social Software space. It combines network based Web 2.0 capabilities like blogs, wikis, and RSS feeds, with teamspace capabilities like file sharing and task lists, with social software capabilities like profiles, walls, and friends. Together, along with tight integrations with Unified Communications, IM, Presence, and Video, these capabilities form an Integrated Workforce Experience (IWE). ECP will be Cisco’s productized version of Cisco IT’s IWE.
The ECP team is looking for a motivated, high energy, passionate Senior Technical Marketing Engineer with strong technical marketing, customer, and software experience who is ready to work in a start-up like environment to ensure Cisco’s success in this new market adjacency.
You will work as a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer for the Enterprise Collaboration Platform (ECP) BU with a focus to create the best product definition possible. Work cross-functionally with other functions of the BU and Cisco to develop product definition and drive execution.
Responsibilities:
·Hands-on enterprise software experience
·Proven ability in taking used case scenarios and architecting compelling solution studies for our platform with differentiation where applicable
·Work closely with key Systems Integrators and Cisco Technology Partners to identify and penetrate target accounts
·Creating and updating marketing collateral, including data sheets, presentations, whitepapers, ROI calculators and case studies
·Will act as the technical interface on customer sales calls, when required, and assist in preparing responses to RFP's, RFI's, and RFC's
·Participate in proof of concept, product demonstrations and presentations
·Working in the lab with client partners for product tear downs, feature comparisons, bench marking and demonstration set up development
·Ability to present at conferences and seminars. This person should be capable of speaking at User Group events, industry events, etc.
·Works independently without much supervision
Skills & Requirements:
·Five plus years of Technical Marketing experience with focus on Field support is a must
10+ years experience with enterprise software·Ability to propose and implement solution studies based on Virtualization trends
·Adept at developing solution guides, proof-of-concept studies, best practices studies
·Strong understanding of enterprise applications, database, and messaging solutions.
·Excellent verbal and written communications skills
·Capable of delivering training to field sales and support staff
·Partner and customer relations management
·Network and Storage knowledge is a plus
·Requires B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. MBA and/or advanced degree highly desirable
