The Area/Segment Lead, Service Enablement, will play a key role in realizing the Next Generation of Technical services. Through deep knowledge of their Area and/or Segment and business model, strong alignment and interlock with the Area and/or Segment service sales leadership, and strong cross-functional collaboration with all appropriate corporate/internal and external teams, the person will shape a total approach to increase the TS value proposition to our customers, partners and the Cisco field organization. The focus will be on “smart services” providing more proactive and preemptive support, on “new services” to accelerate the adoption of emerging solutions and architectures in combination with new business models and on “grow services” along “attach”, renew”, “cover”, “refresh” and “entitle” initatives. Overall goal is to increase TS relevance and penetration across their Area and/or Segment.
The person is responsible for their Area and/or Segment operational KPI’s (bookings, E:B, customer placements, CSAT, productivity, …) . Mastery of financial analysis, forecasts, business controls, budgeting, measurement and reporting, pricing analysis, etc, are critical to the person’s success.

Seeking a Software System Test Engineer for testing IOS-XE on the CISCO ASR1K platforms. Manager Specific Requirements : experience with designing, implementing, configuring, testing and troubleshooting large multi-protocol data networks running IOS and preferably IOS-XE. Participate (in a senior/ lead role) on a project team of engineers involved in development of software for Cisco products. Requires use of a strong background in SW Testing, documentation and implementation, on projects that may include any of the following list of responsibilities: Lead project team on the testing of a major SW release, coordinating with other departments, and participating in scheduling (from conception to testing). Development and writing of test plans and system software after specification of platform requirements. Demonstrate a high degree of originality and innovation in defining product and project level architecture. Significantly influences the design of interfaces between products to ensure interoperability. Define software test strategies for new and existing features. Develop large test plans independently and rapidly. Champion new improved test methodologies. Define Reliability, Availability, Servicability (RAS) goals for products. Incorporate RAS in product test cycle.
Typically requires MSEE/CS combined with 5-7 years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 7-10+ yrs related experience. In addition to SW Eng IV: Ability to apply extensive experience as a networking generalist or specialist. Requires experience with more than one of the LAN/WAN and network layer protocols.
